Maharashtra State Board: New Measures for SSC, HSC Board Exams

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced several new measures for the conduct of SSC and HSC Board Exams. These measures are implemented with a view of ensuring transparency in the examination process.

Some of the measures are a part of the ‘Copy Mukt Abhiyaan’ and ‘CM’s 100 day plan’ initiatives introduced by the Maharashtra Board. For more details, feel free to explore the linked information.

Let’s take a closer look at the details of these measures.

  • Early commencement of exams: Exams are to be conducted 10-15 days earlier this year as compared to the previous years. This measure aims to provide students with sufficient time to prepare for upcoming entrance exams.
  • Removal of caste category on Hall Tickets: The decision to include caste details on hall tickets has been withdrawn. As a result, the Maharashtra Board will reissue fresh hall tickets without the caste category. As per the news report, Class 12 hall tickets, which were originally made available for download on January 10, 2025, will now be reissued on January 23, 2025. Class 10 hall tickets, available for download from January 20, 2025, will also exclude the caste category.
  • External Supervisors: For the first time ever, the Maharashtra Board has taken the decision to have external exam centre supervisors and directors in the examination process. The exam staff will be interchanged between centres in the same vicinity. This decision was a part of ‘Copy Mukt Abhiyaan’ as well as the ‘CM’s 100 day plan.’
  • Awareness of Copy Mukt Abhiyaan: Parents and students to be made aware of the malpractices that occur in the examination.

In conclusion, the new measures introduced for the SSC and HSC board exams reflect the Maharashtra Board's commitment to creating a fair, efficient, and student-friendly examination process. These initiatives aim to streamline operations, address student needs, and uphold the integrity of the exams. Stay informed and prepared to make the most of these improvements for a smooth exam experience!

Kindly note that these measures might be subject to change as per the Maharashtra State Board.
