Maharashtra 2025 Board Exam Results to Be Declared Earlier This Year

The Maharashtra School Education Minister, Honourable Shri. Dada Bhuse, announced a significant change in the timeline for Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) board exam results. This year, results will be declared by May 15, ahead of the usual end-of-May or early-June schedule.

Exam Schedule and Transparent Arrangements

The exams will be conducted across nine divisional boards, including Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan.

HSC (Class 12): February 11 to March 18, 2025

SSC (Class 10): February 21 to March 17, 2025

To ensure transparency, invigilators and staff for these exams will be assigned from schools other than the designated exam centres to avoid conflicts of interest. Additional steps include:

Copy-Free Campaign: Joint meetings with school authorities and parents will promote the campaign. Schools and junior colleges will host oath-taking ceremonies to pledge a commitment to fair practices.

Student and Parent Education: Guidelines for answering sheets and the consequences of malpractice will be communicated.

Support Sessions: Experts will conduct sessions on student diet and healthcare during exams

Community Awareness: Gram Sabha discussions will involve local communities to raise awareness about the importance of fair exams.

Hall Ticket Details

Hall tickets for SSC exams will be available online from January 20, 2025, at www.mahahsscboard.in. Schools must:

Download, print, and distribute the hall tickets to students without charging any fees.

Ensure hall tickets are signed by the headmaster. If photos are defective, schools should attach a signed photo of the student.

Reissue a duplicate hall ticket if lost, marked clearly in red ink.

For any technical issues, schools are advised to contact the divisional board.

Mandatory Marathi and State Song Recitation

Bhuse emphasised the mandatory inclusion of Marathi as a subject across all schools and the daily recitation of the Maharashtra State Song following the National Anthem. This initiative aims to instill cultural pride and unity among students.

Plans for Education Quality and Infrastructure Improvement

With over 2.1 crore students, 1 lakh schools, and 7.5 lakh teachers, Honourable Shri. Bhuse outlined a vision to enhance the overall quality of education in Maharashtra. Key proposals include:

Model Schools and Classrooms: Establishing model schools at the taluka level and model classrooms to inspire the adoption of best teaching practices.

Teacher Workload Streamlining: A committee will reduce repetitive non-teaching responsibilities by leveraging existing online systems for data retrieval.

Comprehensive Development: Education department officials will oversee one school each, focusing on its development and addressing its unique challenges.

Leveraging Funds: The government plans to utilise funds from various departments to improve school infrastructure. For instance, sports equipment will come from the sports department, water infrastructure from the Jal Jeevan Mission, and other improvements through MGNREGA and local MLA/MP funds.

Focus on Student Welfare

The minister highlighted plans to incorporate agriculture, sports, and arts into the syllabus more effectively and explore introducing AI-focused subjects for higher classes. Additionally, expert sessions on healthcare and nutrition during exams will ensure students remain physically and mentally prepared.
