The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET (UG) 2024 on May 5, 2024, across 4750 centers in 571 cities worldwide, accommodating over 24 lakh candidates. The results were declared on June 4, 2024. However, due to grievances regarding the grant of compensatory/grace marks to 1563 candidates who experienced time loss during the exam, the NTA has decided to reconduct the examination for these affected candidates.
This decision comes after a High Powered Committee examined the issue of compensatory marks and recommended a re-examination to ensure fairness and integrity in the assessment process. The NTA has accepted these recommendations, leading to the announcement of the re-exam.
If you have trouble downloading your admit card or have any questions, here’s how you can reach out:
Make sure to regularly check the NTA websites (www.nta.ac.in and https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/) for the latest information.
This re-examination is a crucial step to address the grievances and ensure the credibility of the NEET examination process.
The situation underscores the importance of maintaining exam integrity and providing equal opportunities for all candidates. The candidates who are appearing for re-exam are encouraged to prepare diligently and take advantage of this second chance to achieve their desired scores.
While this period of uncertainty can be stressful, the re-exam is an opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and skills under standard conditions. It’s essential to stay focused, review the syllabus thoroughly, and maintain a positive outlook during this preparation phase.
Candidates should stay informed, utilise available resources, and prepare effectively for the upcoming test.
Best of luck to all the candidates preparing for the re-examination!
