NTA Releases NEET (UG) 2024 Centre and City-Wise Results – How to Check Results

Hey, NEET aspirants!

Following the order issued by the Supreme Court of India on 18 July 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the centre and city-wise results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) on its official website.

Here’s an overview of what happened and how you can access the recently published results.

Quick Recap

  • 5 May, 2024: The NEET (UG) 2024 examination was conducted across 4750 centres in 571 cities nationwide, including 14 international cities. It saw participation from over 24 lakh candidates.
  • 4 June, 2024: The NEET (UG) results for the exam were initially published. But controversy sparked due to alleged discrepancies in the results.
  • 23 June, 2024: The following protests and legal actions prompted the Supreme Court to order a re-test for 1563 candidates. However, only 813 candidates appeared for the re-test.
  • 28 June, 2024:  The Provisional Answer Keys and scanned copy of OMR Answer Sheets along with Recorded Responses of the candidates who had appeared in the re-test were displayed, inviting challenges thereto from them
  • 30 June, 2024: After the Challenges received were verified by the experts and the results were processed as per the answer keys finalised by the experts, the results of the NEET re-test were announced.
  • 18 July, 2024: In an effort to determine if candidates at allegedly compromised centres scored higher than those at other locations—and for the sake of transparency—the Supreme Court ordered the NTA to release the results while masking the identities of the aspirants.
