Attention students across Maharashtra! The much-awaited National Survey 2024 is just around the corner. Organised by the Ministry of Education and NCERT, this survey will take place on 4th December, 2024. It will involve students from all mediums in classes 3, 6, and 9, categorised as Foundation, Preparatory, and Intermediate levels of study. They have It's an important opportunity to showcase your learning in subjects like Languages, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS), Science, and Social Science.
The survey on 4th December, 2024, aims to assess students' understanding of key subjects and concepts. Selected schools will participate, and students in the chosen classes must be present. So, it’s crucial to mark that day on your calendar!
1. Mandatory Participation: Even if your school has a holiday, you’ll need to attend on 4th December. Schools will follow a set schedule, with the survey running from 8 AM to 5 PM. For detailed schedule information, please refer to the table below.

2. Questions Asked: The questions asked in the test will be mainly objective, theory-based, and application-based.
3. Practise Makes Perfect: To help you prepare, schools are encouraged to practise filling out the OMR sheets. Reviewing previous surveys, like NAS 2017 and ETAS, will help you get familiar with the format and the kind of questions to expect.
4. Support for Students: If you have special needs or require extra time, don’t worry! The survey will make accommodations, such as additional time and assistance so that every student can participate without any issues.
5. School Visits and Monitoring: During the survey, district officials, including education officers and principals, will visit select schools to monitor the process and make sure everything runs smoothly. They’ll be there to ensure that students are not disturbed while taking the survey.
6. Training and Coordination: Before the survey, an online meeting will be held on 28th December, 2024, to provide all the final instructions and updates. All school principals and education officers will attend the online meeting via YouTube to ensure everything is in place.
7. Guidelines for Conducting the CBSE Survey in Selected Schools: Selected schools will receive a written notice about the survey process. If night schools can attend morning sessions, they will be informed accordingly; otherwise, the survey will follow their regular timings. Inspectors and field investigators will be updated. If a selected school is closed, CBSE inspectors will report it, and district-level instructions will ensure no unnecessary visits. All reports are required to be submitted to the District Coordinator, CBSE.
