This change also allows for the timely execution of supplementary exams, which is crucial for students who may need to retake their exams or those seeking grade improvement.

Important Information for Private Students: HSC and SSC Exam Registration 2025

Online Registration Only

No Offline Applications: Registration must be completed online. Offline applications will not be accepted.

Pre-Registration Preparation: Before starting your online registration for Std. 10 or 12, visit the school or junior college where you intend to sit the Board exams. Obtain the school's unique code, subject scheme, medium, branch (stream), and any other necessary details.

HSC and SSC Exam Registration Process 2025

  • Website for Registration: Use the "Student Corner" on the Maharashtra State Board website for online registration. Instructions in both Marathi and English are available on the site, so be sure to read them before beginning the application process.
  • Documents Required: Prepare the following documents for scanning and uploading during the application:
    • Original School Leaving Certificate (or a duplicate copy and an affidavit if the original is unavailable)
    • Aadhaar Card
    • Passport-sized photograph
    • If you have a secondary School Leaving Certificate, include the original copy
  • Scanning and Uploading: Documents can be scanned using a scanner or photographed (in PDF format) with your mobile phone. Ensure you provide a mobile number and email address for future communication.
  • Submission of Documents: After completing the online form, submit the printed copy, the receipt of the online registration fee, and the original documents to the school or junior college listed on the registration form within the specified timeframe.
  • Registration Fees
    • Standard 10:
      • Registration Fee: Rs. 1000/-
      • Processing Fee: Rs. 100/-
      • Late Fee (if applicable): Rs. 100/-
    • Standard 12:
      • Registration Fee: Rs. 600/-
      • Processing Fee: Rs. 100/-
      • Late Fee (if applicable): Rs. 25/-
  • Fee Payment: The registration fee must be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or Net Banking. A receipt for the payment will be generated and available in your login.

Important Registration Details

Standard 10: During registration, a list of secondary schools based on your address and selected medium will be displayed. Choose one school from the list, which will handle your exam application, internal assessment, practical/oral exams, grading, and other related activities.

Standard 12: Similarly, for Std. 12, a list of higher secondary schools or junior colleges will be displayed based on your address, medium, and branch (stream). Select one from the list for exam application and related activities.

Special Considerations

Students with Disabilities: If you wish to sit the exams privately, you must submit a certified copy of your disability certificate issued by the District Surgeon of an authorised hospital, along with your UDID Card.

Maharashtra State Open School Board: Students who have completed Std. 5 or 8 through the Maharashtra State Open School Board can register as private students for Std. 10 by filling out Form No. 17.

Helpline: Contact the Helpline provided in the official notification if you encounter any issues during the online form completion.

Enrollment Certificate: Once eligible, you will receive an Enrollment Certificate online. Complete the examination forms within the prescribed period and pay the examination fee as directed.
