In 2025, JEE Mains will be held in two exciting sessions, and we’ve got all the essential dates and details lined up for you. Let’s make sure you’re fully prepared for this important journey ahead!

JEE Mains Session 1!

Exciting news for aspiring engineers! Registration for JEE Mains Session 1 opens on 28 October 2024 and closes on 22 November 2024. Make sure to submit your application by 9:00 PM on the last day and complete your payment by 11:50 PM.

Keep an eye out for your City Intimation Slip, coming in the first week of January 2025, and don’t forget that admit cards will be ready to download just three days before your exam. Session 1 will take place from 22 to 31 January 2025, with question papers and answer keys released on the NTA website. Results are expected by 12 February 2025. 

JEE Mains Session 2!

Mark your calendars! Registration for JEE Mains Session 2 starts off on 31 January 2025 and wraps up on 24 February 2025. Just like Session 1, don’t forget to complete your application fee transaction by 11:50 PM on the last day. 

The City Intimation Slip will be out three days before your exam. Get ready for the action-packed exam days from 1 to 8 April 2025! After the exams, you can check out the question paper and answer keys on the NTA website. And remember, results will be announced by 17 April 2025. 

If you need to make changes for either of the sessions, then you can correct your application details, with info available on the NTA website. 

Examination Format and Timing

For both sessions, the duration of the examination for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) is 3 hours, while Paper 2A (B.Arch.) and Paper 2B (B.Planning) will last for 3 hours and 30 minutes. The timing for the exams is as follows:

  • Paper 1:
    • First shift: 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM (IST)
    • Second shift: 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM (IST)
  • Paper 2A & 2B:
    • First shift: 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM (IST)
    • Second shift: 03:00 PM to 06:30 PM (IST)
