APAAR ID: The One Nation One Student ID

Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) is a unique identification system designed by the Government of India for all Indian students. It is an initiative in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020.

What is APAAR-ID?

APAAR is a platform for you to access all your credentials and achievements in one place. It acts as a lifelong academic passport.

  1. You must have a valid Aadhaar Card and an account on Digi Locker for e-KYC.
  2. Parental consent is mandatory for creating the APAAR-ID. You need to submit a consent form for registering for the program.
  3. You can visit your respective school to register for APAAR-ID. The school verifies your demographic information and after creation, it gets automatically added to your Digi Locker for safe online access.
  4. The ID has a distinctive and permanent 12-digit number that is your student identification number.
  5. Schools can record and manage all your achievements, academic progress, activities and credits in the ID.
  6. APAAR provides data security and confidentiality by not sharing your personal information to any third party.

Benefits of APAAR-ID

  1. It is a great one-stop source for all your valuable academic data.
