Prepare for the MHT CET 2024 by marking your calendar for crucial dates, including online registration from January 16th to March 1st, with late registration until March 8th, and the tentative examination period from April 16th to April 30th. Let’s get into the details:

In order to be eligible for the MHT CET examination, you are required to have successfully completed their Class 10+2 education, meeting the minimum percentage of marks specified by the commission. Prospective candidates must have passed their 10+2 exams with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/IT/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Technical Vocational subject to be considered for admission to the B.E/B.Tech course. For those seeking admission to pharmacy courses, it is mandatory to have studied Physics and Chemistry, along with either Biology or Mathematics.
Candidates are eligible to claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature (Type A to E), and this category is applicable to individuals holding a domicile in the state of Maharashtra.
Maharashtra State Candidature Criteria for MHT CET 2024

For First Year: - (i) Candidates who have successfully completed the SSC, HSC, or Engineering Diploma examinations from a recognized institution within Maharashtra State; (ii) A candidate who is either a resident of Maharashtra and/or was born in Maharashtra. For Direct Second Year: -
(ii) Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or is born in Maharashtra. |
Type B | A candidate who does not belong to Type-A as mentioned earlier but has either a parent domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and holds a Domicile Certificate. |
Type C | A candidate not categorized under Type-A or Type-B, but with a parent employed by the Government of India or a Government of India Undertaking, who has been assigned and reported to duty in Maharashtra State prior to the deadline for submitting the Application Form for CAP. |
Type D | A candidate not included in the aforementioned categories of Type-A, Type-B, and Type-C, yet having a parent who is currently employed or retired from the Government of Maharashtra or a Government Undertaking in Maharashtra. |
Type E |
For the first year, candidates who have successfully completed the SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution situated in the Maharashtra Karnataka Border area or from within Maharashtra, and who are residents of the Maharashtra Karnataka Border area with Marathi as their mother tongue. For Direct Second Year Candidates who have passed the SSC and/or HSC Examination, as well as a Diploma in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, D.Voc., or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution situated in the Maharashtra Karnataka Border area or within Maharashtra. Eligible candidates should be residents of the Maharashtra Karnataka Border area with Marathi as their mother tongue. Clarification: The Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area comprises the villages officially designated by the State Government for this specific purpose. |
This category encompasses applicants seeking admission to engineering institutions in Maharashtra but are not residents of the state. Individuals of Indian origin are eligible to apply under this group.
Candidates from Maharashtra belonging to a specific linguistic or religious minority community, as identified by the government, are qualified under this classification.
Applicants falling within this group must possess a Domicile Certificate, Residential Certificate, and a Certificate verifying both Residence and Date of Birth, issued by an authority outside the jurisdiction of Maharashtra State. Consideration will be given to applicants from Jammu and Kashmir who are migrants under this category.
Aspirants must fulfil the educational requirements in order to apply for the exam. The below describes the educational requirements of the MHT CET exam:

DPharma | Applicants must have cleared their Class 10+2 examinations with Physics and Chemistry, and it is necessary to have either Mathematics or Biology as the third subject to qualify for the exam. Individuals who have completed a diploma course in Pharmacy are also eligible to apply. |

There is no age limit to apply for the MHT CET exam. Eligibility is based on successfully completing the 10+2 education with the required subjects and attaining a minimum percentage of marks.
