Are you ready for JEE Mains 2025?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with conducting JEE (Main) since 2019, bringing countless aspirants closer to their dreams!

JEE Main Papers Explained

Whether you're aiming for B.E./B. Tech at top institutions like NITs and IIITs or looking to secure a spot in B. Arch and B. Planning programs, JEE (Main) is your gateway. Here’s what you need to know about this essential step toward success!

JEE Main consists of two papers: Paper 1 is for B.E./B. Tech admissions to NITs, IIITs, and other central or state-funded institutions and is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced (IIT admissions). Paper 2 is for admissions in B. Arch and B. Planning courses across India.

For the 2025-26 academic year, JEE Main is back with two sessions: January and April! Session 1 applications are open from October 28 to November 22, 2024, with fee payments due by 11:50 PM on November 22. Exam city announcements arrive in early January, with admit cards available three days before exams start off from January 22 to 31. With options in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, and more, JEE Main is open to all! Details for Session 2 applications and payments will be shared soon—stay tuned!

JEE Main Exam Format Made Easy

For B.E./B. Tech. (Paper 1), the test is computer-based (CBT) with sections on Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. There are two parts—Section A with MCQs and Section B with numerical questions—both include negative marking for incorrect answers. For B. Arch (Paper 2), the test includes a Mathematics section, an aptitude test, and a drawing test done on paper. The B. Planning exam has three sections: Mathematics, aptitude, and planning, all conducted in CBT mode. Choose from two exam times: 9 AM - 12 PM or 3 PM - 6 PM.
