JEE (Main) 2024 Registration Session 2 Open - Eligibility, Fee, Documents Required and How to Apply

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that applications for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 are now open.

This is your chance to secure your seat in prestigious engineering colleges across India. Keep reading to know the deadlines, eligibility criteria, required documents, and steps to register.

The registration process for new and modification of details for existing candidates are as follows:

The registration and application process will remain the same as Session 1 for new candidates in Session 2. Please refer to the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in for detailed instructions.

• Only update or apply through the official website - jeemain.nta.ac.in
• Submitting multiple application forms is strictly prohibited. Any candidate found with more than one application number will be considered to have engaged in unfair means (UFM) and strict actions will be taken against the candidate, even if discovered later. 

Before proceeding with the registration, it's crucial to ensure compliance with the eligibility criteria set by the NTA for JEE Main 2024. These criteria encompass various aspects:

• Age Limit: There is no specific age limit for candidates applying for JEE Main 2024.
• Compulsory Academic Details: Candidates must fulfill the requisite academic qualifications, including completing their class 12 examinations or equivalent.
• Mandatory Subjects in Class 12: It's essential for candidates to have studied the mandatory subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, and one vocational subject.
• Maximum Attempts: A candidate is allowed to take the JEE Main exam twice a year for three consecutive years. Hence, a candidate can appear for the JEE Main exam six times.
• Results Awaited: Candidates who are awaiting their class 12 results are also eligible to apply for JEE Main 2024.

• Recent passport-size photograph
• Registered mobile number and email ID
• Signature of the candidate
• Valid ID proof details
• Date of birth proof
• Class 12 mark sheet
• Caste certificate (If applicable)

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the registration process for the JEE Main April session starting on 02 February, 2024. The application form link is available at jeemain.nta.ac.in 2024.

Now follow the given steps to fill out your form.

Begin by visiting the official JEE Main Exam 2024 website - jeemain.nta.ac.in. Click/Tap on ‘JEE Main 2024 Registration and Login for Session 2.’ 

A Fresh candidate needs to register themselves first.

Download the Information Bulletin and read it carefully before filling the application form.

After downloading the Information Bulletin, scroll down, tick the checkbox and proceed.

Provide details of Digi Locker Account/PAN Card/Aadhaar Card, etc.

Select the preferred Authentication at the Exam Centre. Then enter details of Digi Locker/PAN Card/Aadhaar Card, etc to proceed.

Fill in their details like mobile number, email ID, and address.

Verify the given details and tick all the boxes in the checklist to submit.

Now enter the OTP sent to your registered email address.

Upon completion, your JEE Main 2024 application number will be sent to your registered email ID.

Step 2: Application Process

Both new and registered candidates need to log in with the application number sent to their registered email ID and mobile number. Candidates who have applied and paid for Session 1, and wish to apply for Session 2 can login using their Session 1 Application Number and Password.

Enter the preferred examination centre and qualification details as required in the ‘Application’ section.

Upload scanned images of necessary documents mentioned in the form including a photograph, signature, and the other documents mentioned above.

Pay the JEE Main application fee 2024 online using Debit card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

After submitting the application form, ensure to print out the JEE Main 2024 confirmation page for future reference.
