Big news for JEE Main 2024 candidates!

The National Testing Agency released the JEE Main Provisional Answer Key for session 1 on 06 February 2024. Along with the Answer Key, the JEE Main Response Sheet with the official JEE Mains 2024 Question Paper have also been released.

Download and challenge the Answer Key to ensure accuracy and fairness in the final score calculation. Here’s all you need to know about the NTA JEE Main 2024 Provisional Answer Key.

Highlights:

  • Provisional Answer Keys are released for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Paper 2A (B.Arch.), and Paper 2B (B. Planning).
  • Candidates can submit their challenges from 06 to 08 February 2024 (up to 11:00 PM).
  • Candidates have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question challenged.
  • Payments are to be made via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking till 08 February 2024 (up to 11:50 PM).

Other Important Information:

  • Challenges received without receipt of the processing fee will not be considered.
  • The fee towards a challenge will not be accepted through any other mode of payment.
  • No challenge will be accepted after 08 February 2024 (11:00 PM).
  • If the challenge(s) made by the candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly.
  • Results declared will be based on the Final Answer Keys.
  • Candidates will not be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge.

Notes: The Answer Keys finalised by the Experts after the settlement of the challenge will be final.

How to Download the Provisional JEE Main Answer Key 2024 for Session 1?

Follow the steps provided below to download the Provisional Answer Key for NTA JEE Mains 2024 Session 1.

  • Go to the official website: jeemain.nta.ac.in.
  • Click on the JEE Main 2024 Answer Key.
  • Enter the application number, date of birth and other asked details.
  • Click/Tap on ‘Submit’.
  • Download the JEE Main Provisional Answer Key 2024.

If candidates identify any errors or incorrect answers, they have the option to challenge the JEE Main Provisional Answer Key. Following the assessment of candidates' challenges, the NTA will publish the Final JEE Main Answer Key 2024.

How to Challenge the JEE Main 2024 (Session 1) Provisional Answer Key?

  • Log in using your Application Number and Date of Birth or Password.
  • Click ‘Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key’.
  • You will see the Question IDs in the following sequential order:
Paper 1: B.E./B.Tech (If applied) 30+30+30 Questions Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry
Paper 2A: B.Arch. (If applied) 30+50 Questions Mathematics/Aptitude Test
Paper 2B: B.Planning (If applied) 30+50+25 Questions Mathematics/Aptitude Test/Planning-based Objective Type MCQs
  • The ID alongside the question in the ‘Correct Option’ column represents the most suitable answer by the NTA.
  • You can challenge this option by selecting one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.
  • Upload supporting documents for your challenge by selecting ‘Choose File and Upload’. Ensure that all documents are in a single PDF file before uploading.
  • Once you've selected your preferred option(s), whether it's for Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Mathematics or Aptitude Test for Paper 2A (B.Arch.), or Mathematics, Aptitude Test, or Planning for Paper 2B (B.Planning), simply scroll down, click ‘Save your claim’, and proceed to the next screen.
  • You'll see all the Option IDs you've challenged.
  • Click ‘Save your claim and Pay Fee’ to finalise your submission.
  • Select the Mode of Payment and pay the non-refundable processing fee of ₹200/- for each challenged question. Complete the payment using Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.

JEE Main 2024 Marking Scheme

Ans: No, the JEE Main Official Answer Key 2024 is not out yet. But the Provisional Answer Key has been released on jeemain.nta.ac.in. Candidates have the opportunity to raise objections (if any) by 08 February 2024 (up to 11:00 PM)

5. Is 75 a good score in JEE Mains?

Ans: Candidates can anticipate achieving a percentile score ranging from 85 to 90. However, given the intense competition for limited seats in top engineering colleges, a score of 75 marks is considered insufficient. To enhance their scores, candidates have the opportunity to participate in JEE Main Session 2, scheduled from 4 April to 15 April 2024. The registration process for JEE Main 2024 session 2 is currently ongoing.

6. How can I download my JEE Main response sheet?

Ans: The NTA releases the JEE Main Response Sheets online simultaneously with the Answer Key. To access the JEE Main response sheets, candidates are required to log in to the official JEE Main website using their application number and date of birth/password.
